Online astrology platform Astrotalk reported a sharp rise in revenue during FY25, with total income increasing by 85% to Rs 1,214.5 crore from Rs 666 crore in FY24, according to financial statements filed with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).
Revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,176.5 crore, marking an 83% jump compared to Rs 643.5 crore in the previous fiscal year. Around 80% of the operating revenue was generated from the Indian market, while the remaining 20% came from international users. The company also earned Rs 38 crore through other income sources such as interest from fixed deposits, bonds, and gains from mutual fund investments, up from Rs 12.5 crore in FY24.
Despite strong revenue growth, the company’s profitability declined significantly. Astrotalk reported a 61% fall in net profit to Rs 33 crore in FY25 from Rs 85.5 crore in FY24, as expenses surged to Rs 1,129.2 crore from Rs 542.5 crore. Employee benefit expenses rose to Rs 143 crore from Rs 30 crore, while marketing spending increased to Rs 331.2 crore from Rs 156.8 crore. Founded in 2017 by Puneet Gupta, the platform connects users with more than 13,000 astrologers and has served over 4.3 crore customers worldwide through chat, voice, and video consultations.
