Jayshree Ullal, President and CEO of Arista Networks, has emerged as the world’s richest self-made woman entrepreneur after securing the top position on the Hurun Rich List 2025. Ullal began her professional journey at AMD and Fairchild Semiconductor before joining Cisco Systems in 1993. During her 15 years at Cisco, she rose to the position of senior vice president and was instrumental in expanding the company’s data centre business, gaining a strong reputation as a leader in networking technology.
In 2008, she took charge as CEO of Arista Networks, which was then a small and relatively unknown cloud networking company. Under her leadership, Arista grew rapidly into a global leader in high-performance networking solutions for cloud data centres. The company reported $7 billion in revenue in 2024, registering a 20% year-on-year growth.
Apart from owning nearly 3% of Arista Networks’ stock, Ullal also serves on the board of cloud computing firm Snowflake. She ranks eighth on America’s Richest Self-Made Women list and is a regular presence on Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in Business list, standing out as one of the few women leading a Fortune 500 company.
