Deepika Padukone’s 82°E Revenue Falls 35% in FY25; Losses Narrow on Sharp Cost Cuts

Deepika Padukone’s skincare venture 82°E reported revenue of Rs 15.2 crore in FY25, marking a 35 percent decline from Rs 23.7 crore in FY24, according to financial statements filed with the Registrar of Companies.

Revenue from operations stood at Rs 14.7 crore in FY25 compared to Rs 21.2 crore in the previous fiscal. The company reduced its cost of goods sold by nearly 20 percent to Rs 4.6 crore from Rs 5.5 crore a year earlier. Employee benefit expenses also fell 19 percent to Rs 6.4 crore, down from Rs 7.9 crore in FY24.

Marketing expenses saw the steepest reduction, dropping 78 percent to Rs 4.4 crore in FY25 from Rs 19.7 crore in FY24. Overall expenditure declined 45 percent to Rs 25.9 crore, compared with Rs 47.1 crore in the previous year.

Net loss narrowed 48 percent to Rs 12.3 crore in FY25 from Rs 23.5 crore in FY24. On average, the company spent Rs 1.76 to generate every rupee of revenue in FY25, improving from Rs 2.22 in FY24, indicating better cost efficiency despite lower income.

Founded in 2021 by Deepika Padukone and Jigar K. Shah, 82°E operates on a “Cleanse–Hydrate–Protect” philosophy, blending traditional Indian ingredients with modern scientific formulations.

In December 2022, the company raised $7.5 million (around Rs 62 crore) in seed funding from DSG Consumer Partners and KA Enterprises.

The brand has introduced smaller “mini” packs starting at Rs 450 to attract value-conscious consumers and expanded into men’s grooming in February 2024 with the launch of its 82°E Man range.
