Namo Bharat trains open for private celebrations and photo shoots

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation has introduced a new initiative allowing people to celebrate personal occasions such as birthdays, pre-wedding shoots, and other special events inside Namo Bharat trains and stations. The move aims to offer a unique experience in a modern setting along the Delhi-Meerut corridor.

According to officials, individuals or event organisers can book static or moving Namo Bharat coaches at a rate of Rs 5,000 per hour. An additional 30 minutes will be provided before and after the event for setting up and removing decorations. A mock-up coach at the Duhai Depot has been prepared specifically for photo and video shoots.

The celebrations will be allowed between 6 am and 11 pm and will be supervised by NCRTC staff and security teams to ensure safety and avoid disruption to regular train services. Simple decorations will be permitted based on guidelines so that operations and passengers are not affected.

NCRTC expects the initiative to attract people from areas like Anand Vihar, Ghaziabad, and Meerut South, giving them an unusual venue to mark memorable moments. The corporation has also framed a separate policy for hiring premises for film shoots, advertisements, documentaries, and other visual projects at stations and inside Namo Bharat trains, available at competitive rates.
