Katrina Kaif’s beauty brand Kay Beauty reported a 50 per cent year-on-year growth in revenue to Rs 132.4 crore in FY25, up from Rs 88.3 crore in FY24, according to financial statements sourced from the Registrar of Companies (RoC).
Total expenses climbed 60 per cent to Rs 117.6 crore in FY25, compared with Rs 73.2 crore in the previous year. Cost of goods sold rose to Rs 40.8 crore from Rs 27 crore, while employee benefit expenses more than doubled to Rs 7.5 crore from Rs 3.2 crore. Marketing and advertising spend nearly doubled to Rs 16.6 crore, up from Rs 8.3 crore in FY24, and the company recorded Rs 13.2 crore in beauty advisor expenses. Finance costs for the year were at Rs 1 crore.
Despite higher expenses, Kay Beauty reported a net profit of Rs 11 crore in FY25, marginally lower than Rs 11.3 crore in FY24. On a unit economics basis, the company spent Rs 0.89 to earn every rupee in FY25, versus Rs 0.83 in the previous fiscal.
Founded in 2019 by Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif in strategic partnership with Nykaa, Kay Beauty is positioned as a premium Indian cosmetics brand offering vegan and cruelty-free products infused with skin-beneficial ingredients. The brand follows an omnichannel approach, with products sold online via Nykaa and Amazon, as well as through physical retail stores across India.
The company has also expanded internationally. In the United Arab Emirates, it entered the GCC market through a partnership with Nysaa, Nykaa’s international retail arm. In 2025, Kay Beauty became the first Indian-founded beauty brand to launch at UK luxury retailer Space NK.
In terms of ownership, Nykaa holds a 50.99 per cent stake in Kay Beauty, Katrina Kaif owns 41.5 per cent, and the remaining 7.5 per cent is held by Matrix India Entertainment Consultants Pvt Ltd.
