Jewar-born Anil Kumar’s journey from a middle-class childhood to building a global cybersecurity company is nothing short of inspiring. Growing up across different Indian cities due to his father’s transferable government job, Anil completed his schooling in Delhi before pursuing IT engineering and an MBA in IT Business Management from Symbiosis, Pune. He spent several years working in IT and cybersecurity consulting before taking the bold decision to quit his job in 2018 at the age of 28 to follow his entrepreneurial dream.
In March 2018, Anil started CyberCube Services from his Delhi home, bootstrapping the business with limited resources. The early days were challenging—he struggled with just one client for the first six months and faced financial stress. His persistence paid off when, by 2019, CyberCube had onboarded several clients, hired a small remote team, and crossed ₹15 lakhs in revenue, eventually moving to a rented office in Dwarka. The pandemic in 2020 tested the company’s resilience, with delayed client payments threatening its survival. Anil refused to cut salaries, even breaking his fixed deposits to keep his team afloat. The crisis became a turning point, as CyberCube pivoted to international markets and won clients like Bata and The Body Shop.
Today, CyberCube has grown into a 100-member team operating from a 7,500 sq ft office in Gurugram, serving more than 800 clients in over 30 countries, including Airtel, Air India, and MakeMyTrip. Empanelled with CERT-In, the company provides end-to-end cybersecurity services, including audits, penetration testing, compliance automation, and PCI certification. CyberCube has doubled its revenues from ₹10 crores in FY 2023-24 to ₹25 crores in FY 2024-25 and is targeting ₹50 crores in FY 2025-26. With 60% of its business from India and the rest from global markets, Anil is now looking for funding to fuel international expansion. His vision is to make CyberCube a leading one-stop cybersecurity solutions provider worldwide.
