Velby Launches India’s First AI-Based Smart Blood Donation Network to Revolutionize Healthcare Access

Kozhikode, June 14, 2025 — On World Blood Donor Day, Velby, India’s first AI-powered preventive health and longevity platform, officially launched the country’s first Smart Blood Donation Network in collaboration with the Vellnez Foundation Trust. Known for offering services like online doctor consultations, digital health records, and wellness tracking, the Velby App has now taken a major step toward making blood donation more efficient, ethical, and accessible.

The newly launched Smart Blood Donation Network aims to digitally connect blood banks, donors, volunteer groups, and the general public through a single platform. Using intelligent algorithms, the app sends blood donation alerts only to eligible users based on their blood group, location, and past donation history. Donors can also book time slots in advance to avoid crowding at camps, while those in urgent need of blood can send real-time requests, which automatically close once the request is fulfilled.

Blood banks are empowered to display their live blood inventory, helping patients or hospitals locate the required blood type without delays. Donors benefit by receiving e-certificates and wellness credits, while organizations get co-branded digital dashboards and cards to manage and monitor their team’s donations. These features make Velby not just a donation app, but a complete digital solution for blood management and public health engagement.

Dr. Ajil Abdulla, Executive Director of Vellnez Foundation Trust and CEO of Velby, stated that the platform is “the digital backbone of a modern, ethical blood ecosystem.” He called on blood banks and volunteer groups to join this smarter healthcare mission. The initiative, already active in the Middle East and other Indian states, reflects Velby’s broader goal of making healthcare preventive, participatory, and longevity-focused—encouraging users to take conscious steps toward a healthier life.
