Tata Motors is preparing to relaunch the iconic Sierra on November 25, 2025, bringing back a nameplate that once defined the brand’s SUV identity. The new model blends its classic boxy silhouette with a fresh, contemporary approach, marking one of Tata’s most anticipated returns in recent years.
The updated Sierra features a clean upright front profile with connected LED DRLs, split headlamps and a sleek gloss-black finish. Its signature alpine-style windows have been reworked to suit a four-door layout, while flush door handles and large dual-tone alloy wheels add a modern touch. At the rear, the SUV carries a minimalist design with a connected LED tail-lamp bar and a subtle roof spoiler.
Inside, the Sierra moves towards a premium living-space concept. A triple-screen setup stretches across the dashboard, supported by features such as a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, wireless phone charging and a 12-speaker sound system with a dedicated soundbar. Safety has also been prioritised with six airbags, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS functions.
Powering the SUV are expected to be a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel option, paired with manual and dual-clutch automatic transmissions. Pricing is likely to start around ₹11 lakh, positioning the Sierra against rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara. The return of the Sierra marks a significant moment for Tata Motors as it revives a name deeply associated with nostalgia and design heritage.
