Reliance and Google Offer Free Gemini Pro AI Access for Young Jio Users

Reliance Industries Ltd, through its subsidiary Reliance Intelligence Ltd, has partnered with Google to offer free access to Google’s premium Gemini Pro AI service to young Jio users aged 18 to 25. The limited-time offer, valued at ₹35,000, provides complimentary access for 18 months starting October 30.

According to a report by *MoneyControl*, the offer is available to Jio customers on eligible Unlimited 5G prepaid or postpaid plans starting at ₹349 per month. Users can activate it through the “Claim Now” banner in the MyJio app. Once activated, the free Gemini Pro subscription will remain valid as long as the user stays on an active Unlimited 5G plan. Reliance clarified that this partnership does not involve any additional cost from Jio’s end.

Gemini Pro gives users access to advanced AI tools such as unlimited chats, 2TB of cloud storage, video generation through Veo 3.1, and image creation using Nano Banana. It also integrates directly into Gmail, Google Docs, Drive, and other Google services. For developers, the bundle offers higher daily request limits on Gemini CLI and Gemini Code Assist extensions.

Existing paying subscribers of Gemini Pro can switch to the “Google AI Pro – Powered by Jio” plan once their current billing cycle ends. The package also includes Google’s AI filmmaking tool “Flow” and image-to-video creator “Whisk,” along with expanded access to NotebookLM, providing five times more Audio Overviews and notebooks.

The initiative aims to attract India’s young digital generation by combining Jio’s 5G connectivity with Google’s AI ecosystem, offering them advanced tools for creativity, productivity, and coding at no additional cost.
