Enlog, founded in Delhi in 2019 by Bharath Rankvatt, has grown from a small lighting-focused venture into a full-fledged IoT-based energy management company. The startup began as EPVI in 2017, producing AutoSwitcher lighting products and selling over 3,000 units. In 2019, it transformed into Enlog, shifting its focus to advanced solutions that help reduce energy waste and optimise electricity consumption.
During the early stages, Bharath conducted extensive research by studying the energy consumption patterns of more than 1,000 houses, factories, and hotels. This revealed that small businesses and households were losing energy without realising it. To address this gap, he introduced Smi-Fi in 2020, an IoT-based device designed to save electricity. With the help of Jharna Saha, who brought expertise in UI/UX and brand building, the Enlog app was launched in 2021, offering real-time monitoring for users.
The company also works to spread awareness about energy conservation by partnering with schools and local communities. Its main focus, however, remains on B2B clients. The Smi-Fi device is priced between Rs 1,000 and Rs 1 lakh, depending on customer needs. According to company data, more than 23,000 users have saved over 30,000 MWh of electricity, preventing more than 5,500 tonnes of carbon emissions.
Enlog has expanded its presence to Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Initially bootstrapped with Rs 40 to Rs 45 lakh by Bharath, the startup later raised Rs 2.75 crore from investors, valuing the company at Rs 40 crore. Enlog has generated Rs 4.5 crore till FY 2025 and expects a revenue of Rs 12 to Rs 13 crore in FY 2025–2026. By FY 2026–2027, the company aims to triple its revenue to Rs 40 to Rs 45 crore.
