Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd (RJIL) chairman Akash Ambani on August 29 introduced JioPC, a new cloud-based virtual desktop service. Announcing the product at Reliance Industries’ annual general meeting, he said JioPC can turn any television or screen into a complete computer with the help of Jio’s set-top box. By simply connecting a keyboard, users can access a virtual computer powered by Jio’s cloud, without the need for heavy investment. The service is designed to be secure, always updated, and scalable as per the user’s needs.
Ambani also unveiled JioFrames, an AI-powered wearable platform built for Indian users. The device will support multiple Indian languages and work with Jio’s multilingual AI voice assistant. With JioFrames, users can take high-definition photos, record videos, and even stream live, with all content stored instantly in Jio’s AI cloud. The wearable is aimed at providing an advanced and interactive experience for everyday life.
Highlighting Jio’s global vision, Ambani said the company plans to take its innovations beyond India to solve worldwide challenges. He added that Jio’s mission is to connect the unconnected, empower people with technology, and continue building value for both customers and partners.
